Family is everything







Families are the compass that guides us. They are the inspiration to reach great heights. So, when time comes be there to pick them back up.

I was going for how family is everything and how you can't break the bond between them. Also, how there to help you and give you a hand through the hard times. So, I used the family sign to show that when my parents and my sister get older, I'm going to be there to help them.




    Reflection


               People believe that personalities are stuck with you and that they are impossible to change. They believe that if you’ve done it once you’ll do it again. Even though a label can follow you for the rest of your life like being a criminal, I believe personality can still change if something drastic happens.




                In the pod cast “The personally Myth” by invisbilia we learned about a man named Dan. About half way through the pod cast we learned he was in prison because he had raped a woman. However, at the beginning we see him as a likable man that is the, “director of the ballet group” ("Personality") in prison. This shows how a bigger outside force like prison for instants can change someone’s personality. We also learned in the ted talk by Verna Meyers that personalities are not just about how you were raised but where your raised. She told us about how she was lost with one of her friends downtown and came across a man, “let's go ask him”(Meyers) for directions. Verna growing up around that area and being African American she felt comfortable approaching the man. But no so much her friend growing up in a different part of town she was scared to approach the man and just wanted to walk the other way. Verna convinced her friend to go any ways which made her feel bad about how she thought and act towards the man because he was nice and well spoken.




I believe that personality is the hardest thing to change about a person but, if someone goes through a difficult time such as cancer, death of a loved one, sickness or personal injury and you have to rely on other people's kindness and generosity which can change your personality.

Flash Fiction: You pushed her too far; no, it was her own decisions. You were too much; she just didn’t know what to do. Your mother is supposed to love you unconditionally; protect you; support you; be there for you. She didn’t do that for you; she walked away, not you.
